The Brigadeiro Company Participates in the 24th Annual Brazilian Film Festival of Miami

24th BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL OF MIAMI

"The Film Festival’s first edition 24 years ago, overlapped with the resumption of Brazilian cinema in the 90’s. Since the first edition, Brazilian Film Festival of Miami has been a showcase for training, reflection, promotion, cultural exchange, diversity, political and sectoral articulation and artistic recognition. In addition, BRAFF Miami provides a business environment with extraordinary economic potential for the Brazilian audiovisual production." -Inffinito It was our pleasure to participate in the opening event of this year's Brazilian Film Festival of Miami! While it was not a usual year for the film festival due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, it was still kicked off on September 26th with an amazing night of film and culture, this time at a Drive-in Movie event! The featured film for the opening night was Abe by Fernando Grostein Andrade. Abe tells the story of a 12-year-old boy from Brooklyn (played by Noah Schnapp) who tries to unite the Muslim and Jewish sides of his family through cooking, with the help of a chef called Chico Catuaba (played by Seu Jorge). The movie was selected to the Sundance Film Festival in 2019. The Brigadeiro Company happily served Brigadeiros and other treats to all of the Film Festival guests as they enjoyed the film from their respective cars! It was our pleasure to participate and we hope to be back for many years to come!
